A Letter to Yourself

On my twenty-first birthday I wrote a letter to myself. It wasn’t my idea, but the idea of a friend. We typed out letters to ourselves on her computer. We sealed the letters in envelops with pictures of ourselves from that same day. On the envelops we wrote the date ten years later that we were to open them on. Then we exchanged the letters so that we could mail them to each other on that date. Read more »

Stop Procrastination Fast

Procrastination is a problem that many of us struggle with on a regular basis. My sister used to be the ultimate procrastinator. I remember visiting her once when she was in college and she was writing two term papers at the same time. Both papers were due the following morning, and she’d only started them that night. Help Achieving Long-Term Goals

Usually when I set a long-term goal, I try to break it down into a series of short-term goals. Accomplishing these short-term goals will eventually cause me to accomplish the long-term one. Some goals are difficult to break down though, and I find myself having to simply aim for the ultimate long-term finish with no short-term goals to mark my progress. Read more »
