Being Grateful for Every Circumstance

gratitude

Let us give thanks for what we are and for the circumstances God has given us for our personal journey through mortality.  Dallin H. Oaks

Even though I have no plans to celebrate the holiday myself, I thought that since this is Thanksgiving week I’d jump on the band wagon and put up this short post on gratitude.

Not too long ago I wrote a post about trials and how things usually work out in the end.  I think this season of gratitude gives us the perfect opportunity to look back at the trials we’ve had over the past year to see how they’ve changed and molded us and to be thankful that we were able to come out on the other side.

If you look at the world with a negative attitude. That’s what you’ll see. You’ll see the negative. But, if you have a positive attitude. You’ll see things around you that reaffirm your positive attitude. Choose to be grateful and to see the good in your circumstances and you will be happier and healthier.

Here’s a short video about just that.

What are you thankful for?

You are so right about thinks working out in the end. Its been a very difficult year for me, but I am glad things are working out as this years comes to an end. I love my new home, I am able to support myself financially, I am feeling much better now than I did when the year began and my relationships are strengthened.

I agree that the ‘glass half full’ attitude is the way to go. It permeates all that we see and do and gives us a base from which to operate that is more beneficial that the negative one.

Very lovely. Sometimes its a simple matter of stopping and reflecting upon what’s around you. Sometimes you can even witness great things coming about from tapping into this sense of awareness.
