Listening to your body is one of the keys to good health. As you know, I was sick as a dog last week, which sucks because I’m on vacation. <div style=”float: left; margin-right: 5%;”><script type=”text/javascript”><!–
google_ad_client = “pub-3507216980536845″;
/* 250×250, created 10/9/08 */
google_ad_slot = “5532870338″;
google_ad_width = 250;
google_ad_height = 250;
//–>
</script>
<script type=”text/javascript”

</script></div>I wanted to pretend that I was well several times during the week when I wasn’t really. I got out of bed and busied myself doing things. I quickly tired and had to retreat back to bed feeling worse than I did before.

There’s a natural inclination to push yourself, especially when you’ve been sick for a long time. You feel impatient and sick and tired of being sick and tired so you try to do too much too soon. This is a mistake. A body that is weak from illness cannot take being pushed. You must get the rest you require to be truly healthy.

Easing back into activities helps insure that your not doing too much too soon. If you’re feeling tired or worn out rest. You might feel frustrated, but resting now is better than getting sick again later.

Listening to your body and resting when you need to will help you recover more quickly and stay healthy.
