Calories Burned During Everyday Activities


I went to a nutrition class last week at my church. It was a good class–quite entertaining and informative. In the class the teacher made a list of the calories you burn doing everyday activities and I thought I would share that list with you.

  • Shopping for clothes 160 calories
  • Gardening 280 calories
  • Walking the dog 210 calories
  • Running 490 calories
  • Swimming 420 calories
  • Cycling 560 calories

Maybe I should go buy a bicycle.
