I’ve made this recipe quite a bit for barbecues that I’ve attended. People usually ask you to bring some kind of salad when you go to a barbecue. It’s a popular recipe with the people. They always tell me it’s good and ask me how to make it. I’m happy to share or refer them to the site I got the recipe from.

The other day I made this noodle salad as a side dish for our dinner. My husband knew I was making it because he went with me to the grocery store and asked me what I was going to make. He talked to me as I stood in the kitchen and made it, but when it came time to eat he announced that he didn’t like it.

“I never liked that noodle salad,” he said as I passed him the serving bowl. He said that he never told me because he didn’t want to hurt my feelings. I didn’t invent the recipe. How about saving me the trouble of making it. I can’t eat a whole bowl of noodle salad alone.

The next day we went to eat at my parents’ house. I took the noodle salad with me. Everyone seemed to like it, but maybe they didn’t want to hurt my feelings.
