Unclog Your Drain Without Harsh Chemicals

My shower has been draining too slowly for the past couple weeks. I’ve taken the ignore it and it will go away attitude about it. I was actually hoping my husband would notice and do something about it before I had to, but no luck.

When I was cleaning the shower the other day, the drain situation was really getting on my nerves. I didn’t want to go to the store to buy something to unclog it. I don’t like using harsh chemicals in my home. So I used baking soda and vinegar and worked great. Now the water flows freely down the drain.

I waited for my husband to comment about the way the shower drains so wonderfully the following day, but he didn’t notice. I had to tell him.

Next time your drain clogs up try this. Pour one cup of baking soda down the drain followed by three cups of boiling water. If that doesn’t work try pouring one cup of baking soda down the drain followed by one cup of vinegar. Plug the drain up with something to contain the fizzing for about fifteen minutes. Then pour a few cups of boiling water down the drain. That’s what I did and it worked great.
